Anne Tallentire has been commissioned to make a site-specific artwork for the new building of Edward Edward’s House opening in 2028. As part of her research for the work Anne is looking at the history of dye-making around the site.

Biography

Anne Tallentire is an artist, born in Ireland now living and working in London. 

Her practice seeks to reveal systems that shape the built environment and conditions of daily life. Working with a range of media including industrial and everyday materials her performative assemblages are key to how she reflects upon dislocation and demarcation in relation to infrastructure. Solo exhibitions include Measurement Plan, Cromwell Place (2023); Material Distance, John Hansard Gallery, Southampton (2022); But this material…, The MAC, Belfast, Ireland (2021); As happens, Hollybush Gardens, London (2020); Plan (…), Grazer Kunstverein, Graz, Austria (2019) and This and other things, IMMA, Dublin 2010. Her work is held in various collections including Arts Council England, Government Art Collection and The British Council.

She is represented by Hollybush Gardens and in 2018 was the recipient of a Paul Hamlyn Award for Artists.
